Joy-Bearing Sorrow
Seven days of repentance, restoration, and returning to God.

Not every sorrow leads us home.
Worldly sorrow closes inward:
How could I do this?
What will people think?
What have I lost?
Godly sorrow looks toward God:
I have sinned.
I need Your mercy.
I want to return.
The early Church called this penthos—a sorrow over sin that carries the seed of joy. Tears do not become a dead end. They become the place where grace begins washing the heart.
“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.”
—2 Corinthians 7:10
Conviction draws us toward God. Condemnation tells us to hide from Him.
Follow the voice that leads you home.
Read: 2 Corinthians 7:8–11
Pray: “Holy Spirit, turn my sorrow into confession, repentance, and life.”
